A first trip to the USA
Presentation of Old Salem by Eric Jackson, Director of Horticulture at Old Salem Museums & Gardens
Old Salem, in North Carolina, is a historic site telling the stories of people, including Moravian, Black and Indigenous peoples in the American South. Eric Jackson tells us about the history and the restoration of one of the oldest kitchen gardens in the USA, a restoration that has benefited from an exceptionally rich collection of historical records. Eric, who is passionate about the conservation of heritage plants and seeds, also presents one of the unique features of Old Salem: its collection of heritage plants and “Seeds with Stories”: https://www.oldsalem.org/seeds-with-stories/ Access to Eric Jackson’s presentation Access to the recording of Eric Jackson’s presentation
